Aged Bronze Maintenance
A SIMPLE GUIDE TO CARING FOR YOUR AGED BRONZE PRODUCTS
About The Finish
Aged Bronze fittings are manufactured from solid bronze, containing a minimum of 85% copper which provides corrosion resistance and a subtle reddish hue to the metal. The ageing process deepens the shade of the metal resulting in a deep, off-black colour with a rich matte finish.
In the final stage of manufacturing, products are applied with a matte lacquer which enhances the rich tones of the bronze and improves durability.
Suitability
Suitable for interior and exterior use.
As this finish is lacquered, it’s protected from the elements and suitable for use outside without rusting or tarnishing.
Maintenance
Avoid using any cleaning agents or polishes on this finish as they can break down the lacquer. To maintain, simply wipe from time to time with a damp cloth, allow to dry and then apply a light layer of oil or maintenance wax which will improve the longevity of the lacquer.
Top Tips
With its soft, matte finish and deep, rich colours, Aged Bronze is a lovely option if you’re looking for dark fittings but think true black will be too stark in your home.
