A classic lion's head door knocker in solid brass with an aged, unlaquered finish. The lion holds the striker between his teeth with the aged finish highlighting the beautiful detail. A similar design to the one found on door of number 10 Downing Street! Lion heads became particularity popular in the early 19th Century though have continued to appear in a variety of forms for two centuries.

  • Length of head: 110mm
  • Width of head: 90mm
  • Distance between fixings: 100mm (Approx.)
  • Length of bolts: 80mm
  • Made from solid unlaquered brass with an aged finish
  • Secured on the door using two fixing bolts that pass through the door and are fixed on the inside
  • Includes two fixing bolts and matching striking plate

We ordered an Aged Brass Lions head Door Knocker for our front door. Delivery took much longer than we hoped but we can understand that with all the covid lockdowns and backlongs in freight delivery - we are on the other side of the world. Once we received the door knocker we were so pleased with the quality of it that we ordered a second one the same day for our back door.

Very pleased with the detail, quality and finish of the casting. We looked at quite a few lion head pieces but this was the best by far. Also the delivery was very quick following the initial order.
