Traditional pair of black ceramic door knobs with delicate petal edged brass roseplates. Ceramic handles were popular for almost a century, first appearing around 1830. They were widely used in Victorian homes upstairs, in servant quarters and in less grand properties due to being more affordable than brass. Manufactured in the UK.

  • Made from ceramic with lacquered brass backplates
  • Cannot be used individually
  • Use with mortise latches only (not suitable for Rim)
  • Not suitable for external use
  • These handles are unsprung
  • Set comprises two handles, two brass backplates, a spindle and brass screws

I purchased 4 white ceramic sets of door **** and they are lovely, and they compliment my existing original antique Victorian door ****. They were couriered to me quite quickly and the delivery charge was very reasonable. However, they are not as shiny as the picture.
