Our best selling heavy, classic pair of brass door knobs in the 'Beehive' style, applied with an antique finish. Manufactured by a small foundry, we have been selling these reassuringly authentic handles for over 15 years. Crafted from solid unlacquered brass, these will tarnish over time but can be polished to retain shine. The term 'Beehive' refers to the repeat reeded detailing, which allows for grip and a lovely feel. This is a highly popular design born in the Regency era and used heavily throughout the Victorian period and into the early 20th Century.
